Western Sky Aviation Warbird Museum

One of Greater Zion’s Must-See Museums

While you’re in the St. George area enjoying sports or outdoor adventures, you may want to take a break from all that action, and the Western Sky Aviation Warbird Museum is perfect for that change of pace.

Dedicated to preserving, restoring and displaying aircraft, the Western Sky Aviation Warbird Museum is a fun little museum located just past the airport. What makes this museum worth mentioning is that it’s a unique and fun experience for adults and kids! They actually have a couple planes that both adults or children can climb into and get a picture as a “pilot”.

The staff is friendly and knowledgeable—not just about the planes but about the history of aviation in WWII as well. It’s a great way for kids and adults to learn about the dangers pilots faced in WWII and what part planes played in the war. Almost any question you can come up with, they’re sure to have the answer. If you get lucky, you might even stop in while the mechanics are working on one of the aircraft, which is a lot of fun to watch, even if you aren’t too familiar with the process!
