Del William Smith, a former aerospace engineer turned biologist, specializes in plant taxonomy and botany. Drawing from his diverse background and 37 years of teaching experience at various institutions, he will present on Utah’s unique plant diversity, particularly in areas like Pine Valley Mountain Wilderness, Cottonwood Canyon Wilderness, North Red Cliffs National Conservation Area, and Dixie National Forest.
