Hurricane Valley Restaurants

Hurricane Valley hosts hungry adventurers who crave the comforts of small-town charm. With proximity to Quail Creek State Park, Sand Hollow State Park, and golf courses, this Greater Zion region offers hikers, bikers, boaters, ATVers, and golfers one-of-a-kind restaurants to fit any craving — from burger joints and steakhouses to hip bistros and boutique bakeries.

Where to eat in Hurricane, La Verkin, Toquerville, Leeds

Diner favorites at Rooster Run Cafe

Family-owned Rooster Run Cafe (Hurricane) offers traditional diner fare — all-day breakfasts, quick-service hot food, and generous portions — at a reasonable price, making it a great family-friendly restaurant option. Open all day, the cafe serves chicken and waffles, steak and potatoes, hot turkey sandwiches, bison burgers, and chili cheese fries, alongside soups, salads, and wraps.

Modern dining at Pig’s Ear American Bistro

Pig’s Ear American Bistro (Hurricane) presents quality dishes in a buzzy, contemporary space. Its bistro-style offerings include chef-executed burgers, seafood, steak, pasta, ribs, and tacos. Customers rave about the New Orleans-style barbecue prawns, rigatoni with bolognese sauce, full brunch options, along with the full bar and big-screen televisions in that space.

Easy, fresh eats at Main Street Cafe

Family-owned Main Street Cafe (Hurricane) is a lively gem with eclectic decor and a shaded patio. Try the eggs benedict – traditional or veggie – waffles, or omelets for breakfast. Or indulge in BLTs, chicken Caesar wraps, crab cakes, tuna melts, cobb salads, specialty burgers, and pasta (lobster, anyone?) for lunch and dinner. Save room for cupcakes, cakes, and ice cream.

All-day views at River Rock Roasting Co.

River Rock Roasting Company (LaVerkin) is a staple counter-service cafe that showcases its Virgin River overlook and house-made-from-scratch-daily baked goods. Customer favorites include massive cinnamon rolls, mushrooms with truffle oil pizza, local craft beer, classic-flavored smoothies, breakfast quiches, and sandwiches served up fresh or grilled.

Old-fashioned comfort food at Stage Coach Grille

Stage Coach Grille (La Verkin) offers the steakhouse experience with Wild West decor and hearty old-fashioned, slowly-cooked comfort food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Travelers and locals rave about the pot roast, crab cakes, chicken marsala, prime rib, and salmon. No wonder it has multiple Best of Southern Utah awards.

Mexican go-tos and seafood at La Fonda Grill

La Fonda Grill (Hurricane) hits the spot before or after a day of hiking or boating. Its unpretentious and informal setting makes this Mexican restaurant an easy choice for breakfast burritos, chimichangas, taco salads, ceviche, and carne asada tacos. The county fair even gave it a stamp of approval for Best Salsa in Washington County.

Sweets and sandwiches at Muddy Bees Bakery

Cheesecake, cinnamon rolls, cookies — oh my! Muddy Bees Bakery (Hurricane) delights sweet tooths with fresh baked goods and local raw honey. Watch the bees at work in their live hive at the center of their space. Looking for something savory? Try their soups, sandwiches, bagels, and croissants.

Golf meets gourmet at The Grille at Sand Hollow Resort

The Grille at Sand Hollow Resort (Hurricane) offers a fine dining experience for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You can pair your meal with a round of golf, or just indulge in the mesmerizing views of the Hurricane Valley cliffs and the culinary delights such as the steak and egg burrito, coconut shrimp, Devil’s Throat burger, or Sand Hollow Filet.

Indian fare at Red Fort Cuisine of India

Red Fort Cuisine of India (La Verkin) supplies diners – at their La Verkin and St. George locations – with classic Indian flavors from their vast menu with options from chicken tikka masala to mango ice cream. Visitors aren’t the only ones who rave about the morsels of magic served here; Red Fort Cuisine of India is consistently named as a favorite among locals.

Authentic Mexican food at Casa Tequilana

Casa Tequilana (Leeds) is a classic, small-town Mexican restaurant. Located down the road from Red Cliffs Desert Reserve and the Kolob Canyon section of Zion National Park, this establishment serves dinner – and Sunday brunch! – dishes like chilaquiles, smothered burritos, abuela’s birria tacos, and salads with a spicy Mexican flare.

Pies and more at Mainly Pizza

Rumor has it that Mainly Pizza (Leeds) serves some of the best pizza in Greater Zion. With a vast array of toppings – from build-your-own options to body-building options – this place is sure to please every pizza-loving palette. Or, if pies aren’t your jam, chow on some wings, calzones, or sandwiches.

Pizza to go at The Pizza Wagon (literally)

The Pizza Wagon (Hurricane) is a hidden gem sure to intrigue even the most seasoned foodie. Consistently ranked one of the top pizza spots in the United States, this joint is neither a restaurant nor food truck – it is a literal wagon situated under an arbor in a Hurricane parking lot. It tows only the pizza-making necessities: ingredients and an oven. What it lacks in looks is made up for by its signature wood-fired pizzas. They attract eager crowds as consistently as Zion National Park (which would be a lovely spot to enjoy a pizza picnic.)
