By capturing incredibly accurate 3D maps of the Earth’s surface, LIDAR has revolutionized the discovery and mapping of geological features. Tyler will demonstrate how the Utah Geological Survey uses LIDAR to understand better Utah’s faults, landslides, and other important geologic features. Tyler will also show how LIDAR has helped him fall in love with Zion National Park all over again.
