Spring Round-Up Rodeo

Cowboys and cowgirls will be wrangling, riding and roping in the 2024 Spring Rodeo Roundup May 17-18 at the Dixie Sunbowl in St. George. The event promises to bring some rootin’ tootin’ fun — for the audience, anyway. For those getting thrown around by a 1,500-pound bull? It’s debatable.

The annual spring rodeo will feature all the traditional events. Cowboys will compete in bull riding, steer wrestling, saddle bronc riding and tie-down roping. Cowgirls will run circles in barrel racing, goat tying and ranch bronc riding.

The main event officially begins at 7 p.m. each evening, but there are activities to get you roped in beforehand.

Starting at 4 p.m., visit the vendor booths to pick up some western-themed goods. Find some tasty vittles, too; there’ll be food trucks serving barbecue, treats and other fine fare.

The gates to the rodeo grounds open at 5 p.m. and live music begins at 6 p.m.

Rodeo Runs Friday and Saturday, May 17 – 18.
