Southern Utah Practical Shooters

Southern Utah Practical Shooting Range offers public shooting of pistol, rifle, and shotgun, as well as 12 to 16 practical shooting competitions a month.

28 Private bays, ranging to 100 yards. We never run out of places for you to shoot. All bays have shade, table and target stands. Cost for a standard bay is FREE. For bays with steel targets, tactical stages, and electronic clay throwers, join (low cost) or pay a nominal use fee.

Range Hours

Not open to the public EXCEPT for Tuesday Night Steel Plate Shooting 3:00 to 8:00 (depending on the number of participants)

Competitors engage in a fast-paced match with static and reactive steel targets. Participants may use a pistol or rifle chambered in the following calibers: 22 LR, .380, 9mm, 38 Super Comp, 357 Sig, 40 S&W, 45 ACP, 10mm. Competitors should bring a belt, holster (handguns only), mag pouches and approximately 200 rounds of ammunition. For more information please contact the range.

  • Handgun, Carbine, Small Group Handgun, Small Group Carbine, Family Firearms Safety and Familiarization
  • Consider taking “Practice with a Pro” or “How to Compete” prior to a match
