👀 Would you drive a 4X4 or OHV up “The Chute” at Sand Hollow State Park? Seeing only the sky as you drive up is very intimidating, but the sandstone rock provides a lot of traction making most 4X4 vehicles fully capable of driving this nearly vertical obstacle. 👀
Moe’s Valley is a bouldering paradise that has enough problems to keep you busy for your entire vacation in Greater Zion. Come prepared to work hard and be rewarded with excellent climbs and views. There are 193 routes – and that number just keeps growing. With routes that range from V2 to V13, there’s sure to be climbs in your range. Stay safe, and find your space in Greater Zion.
Don’t miss this action-packed weekend on the dunes. They’re going to send it! Held October 21-25 at Sand Hollow State Park, the UTV Takeover event is fun for the whole family. All vehicles, ATVs and UTVs are welcome to join the group rides, night rides, dune tours, a dozen mini games, barrel racing, treasure hunt, group potluck dinner, huckfest competition, wheelie competition, drag racing, cornhole tournament, stereo wars, daytime or nighttime show-n-shine, rock-n-roll bingo, live music, daily raffles and a massive vendor row!
Camping is the perfect way to #FindYourSpace in Greater Zion. Incredible campsites are available for every style of camper from high-end RV sites with power to dispersed, primitive sites with complete privacy. Enjoy s’mores and stargazing from campsites found in the Dixie National Forest, public lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management, State Parks and the popular Zion National Park. ⛺️
Like Zion National Park, Snow Canyon State Park requires permits for its two canyoneering routes, but unlike Zion, guides are welcome. The Island in the Sky route is open all year, while the Arch Canyon route is open seasonally, September 15 to March 14. Because it is a fall-winter route, often there are pools of water to traverse, so a dry/wet suit is highly recommended in Arch Canyon. Both canyons require an $8 permit, which admits up to six people.
Nights on the (mini) golf course are a great way to beat the lingering summer heat. Recently opened, the Resort at Stucki Farms is an 18-hole miniature golf course that is fun for all ages! Open to the public. ⛳️
