A Place of Unexpected Delights
Deep within the canyon walls of Zion National Park, Utah, rests the riverside lodging and botanical gardens of Cliffrose. This enigmatic property blooms with year-round hospitality while welcoming mindful adventurers, unscripted wanderers, and groups of all kinds who are seeking an optimized experience of Zion and the great American Southwest.
Cliffrose is a small boutique lodging experience of just over 50 rooms nestled against tended gardens, the Virgin River, and Zion National Park. The wildlife and wildflowers of Cliffrose enhance the world-class amenities offered, including a garden-inspired restaurant right on property and coming 2020, a full-service spa. Though every staff member is attentive, the most memorable Cliffrose ambassadors are the butterflies, hummingbirds, and mule deer that call this intimate oasis home. While charming in all the right ways, guests should expect no compromise of standards in experience, comfort, or service.

The Gardens
Cliffrose was planted in 1988 by Dale Dockstader. Dale was the ultimate free spirit with a wild heart and a profound reverence for nature. In his original and passionate vision for Cliffrose, it was essential that the gardens and grounds be the core of the tranquility and connection to nature offered here. Dale no longer walks these paths, yet his peaceful influence lives on in the continued life of every flower, vine, and tree that he introduced to Cliffrose soil.
