 Three Ages” (1923)
——————————————–
The Electric Film Series follows up a magical trip back to the Silent Film Era with a 100th-anniversary screening of another historic silent gem. This particular effort happens to be the first feature from silent film icon, Buster Keaton. “Three Ages” sort of functions as a parody of D.W. Griffith’s controversial epic, “Intolerance.” In this comical anthology, Keaton tells of love of and romance over three historical ages; The Stone Age, The Roman Age, and The Modern Age. Experience this masterpiece on the big screen!

On hand to talk about Buster Keaton and his feature debut, is NFL Films veteran and former digital film professor, Phil Tuckett. Not only is Tuckett a scholar, a historian, and a fan of the silent film era, but he’s also a filmmaker so expect plenty of insight during what promises to be a magical night at the movies.

Be sure to arrive at the screening a little early and leave an optional donation. This donation will get you a delicious menu item from Riggatti’s to enjoy during the post-screening discussion or, you can take it home with you following the movie.
