The Back Country Horsemen of Utah, Southwest chapter will be hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony for the two new 21 ft bridges built in Pine Valley.  This was a joint project done by the Back Country Horsemen, US Forest Service, Pine Valley district and (ACE) American Conservation Experience crew and was funded by a $20,867 Utah Outdoor Recreation grant.  These bridges were placed over two difficult water crossings on a popular trail used by hikers, mountain bikers, and horsemen to provide safe passage and enable those with more limited abilities to use the trail as well.  Construction of these bridges was no small task as all the materials had to be transported to the sites as individual pieces and assembled on site.  The specialized materials for each bridge weighs approximately 3,000 pounds and is designed to last thirty years or more.

Upon arrival in Pine Valley, turn left at the church and proceed to the park entrance (pay no fee) then proceed a short distance to the equestrian campground entrance turn right and bear left to the campgrounds.  Look for the Thomas Forsythe group campground and you will be given parking instructions there.  The bridge site is about 250 yards past the parking area so wear comfortable shoes.  Cold drinks will be available at the bridge site.
