THE MAN WHO SHOT LIBERTY VALANCE

The Electric Film Series continues at the historic Electric Theater on Tuesday, June 15 at 6 PM (Doors at 5:30 PM) with a showing of a western classic from the 1960’s;

Directed by the legendary John Ford, “The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance” follows Senator Ransom Stoddard (James Stewart) as he makes his way back to the hometown of his past for an unexpected funeral. Upon arrival, Stoddard tells of his origins and how he came to know the deceased in a beloved western that, among other things, stars two of the most famous actors of all time. Of the many collaborations between John Ford and John Wayne, Roger Ebert considered this film to be their most “thoughtful and pensive.” Come on out and experience it on the big screen…The way it was meant to be experienced.

This mythological tale of the Old West will be introduced by (TBA)…

Be sure to arrive at the screening a little early and order a delicious optional food item from a Local Restaurant (TBA). The food will be available for consumption immediately following the film during the post-screening discussion or you can feel free to take it home with you.
