Experience “The Joy of Christmas” as only The Southern Utah Heritage Choir with its 180-voice choir creates. Reserve Saturday, December 14th for this inspiring concert with two performances—a matinee at 2:00 P.M. and an evening performance at 7:30 P.M. in the Cox Performing Arts Center, on the campus of Dixie State University.
Joining the Choir this year will be the 50-voice St. George’s Premier Children’s Choir, under the direction of Rachel Cox, with assistant conductor Harrison Budge, and accompanist Cindy Coombs. What a special way to celebrate this joyful time of year with children’s voices raised in song!
The choir will create the sacred Christmas nativity through beautiful, sacred music, combined with rousing and exciting music of the season.
You will be transfixed as choir organist, Karen Kennedy, performs Richard Elliott’s brilliant and technical organ arrangement of “I Saw Three Ships.”
The entire concert is presented for your Christmas joy and will delight you with the exuberant sound that this 180-voice choir can create. Dr. Ken Peterson, Heritage Choir Principal Conductor said, “People will not want to miss these brand new arrangements of familiar Christmas greats.”
