The Enchanted World of Dolls

The Center for the Arts at Kayenta presents:

A Holiday in Kayenta! Featuring “The Enchanted World of Dolls and A Diamond Holiday”

With fire pits ablaze, trees shimmering with lights, the smell of hot treats and sounds of holiday music filling the air, enjoy Kayenta as it is transformed into a magical wonderland. Enjoy warm drinks and sweets as you stroll through the Enchanted World of Dolls. Inside the storefront windows along the plaza watch young performers come alive as mechanical dolls outfitted in traditional costumes representing countries throughout the world. Susan Broberg, director of the Enchanted World of Dolls exclaims “come and join us on a magical, multicultural journey around the globe as we celebrate together a few of the many unique and charming dances and traditions found worldwide.” This beautiful promenade walk–through performance runs continuously for 1 hour beginning an hour and 15 minutes before A Diamond Holiday.

The magic continues inside the Lorraine Boccardo Theatre where guests will take their seats to see A Diamond Holiday, a festive and captivating dance and musical theatre performance. This spectacular show features classic scenes from the Nutcracker, Santa’s workshop of toys, heavenly angels ushering in the Nativity, a holiday section reminiscent of the Rockettes, inspiring Irish dance and more holiday fun. Every note and dance step inspires a spirit of understanding, unity and joy to be found in every heart, especially at this time of year. The performance features Diamond Talent‘s troupe of highly trained student performers, many of whom may one day join a world-class group of professional dancers and singers who got their start at Diamond Talent, now sharing their talents on Broadway and in professional and regional theaters around the country. Every performer ranging in age from 7–18 are making the holidays cheery and bring with this special holiday show.

“The vision of this holiday event is to create an enchanting, multi-sensory experience from the moment you enter the plaza, to the moment the corps de ballet takes its final bow. A Diamond Holiday is the most entertaining and moving show for the holidays I have ever seen anywhere. These student dancer/singers are absolutely jaw-dropping!”

—Jan Broberg, Director, CFAK
