gunlock astronomy festival

Launched by the National Park Service in 2017, the annual Southwest Astronomy Festival has become a staple for stargazing enthusiasts of southwestern Utah. The festival has numerous activities designed to teach attendees all about dark sky preservation and astronomy.
Join Gunlock State Park on Sunday, August 28th at 8 PM for a night of stargazing! Learn what the park is doing to preserve and protect Greater Zion’s beautiful starry sky while you gaze at planets, galaxies, nebulae, and other deep-sky celestial objects! High-powered telescopes will be provided for your viewing pleasure!
Meet at the Gunlock Marina Boat Ramp.

Bring your own camp chair, blanket, and red flashlight.
