Part of the Zion National Park Forever Project Classroom Series:

The Juno spacecraft entered into a polar orbit around Jupiter in 2016 carrying JunoCam, a visible light camera. A new understanding of Jupiter’s clouds and storms is emerging from this unique perspective. Conceived as an outreach instrument, JunoCam operation has engaged the public in many aspects of the real work of an imaging team. Members of the public are invited to process JunoCam images. The results are a unique blend of science and art. Stunning images have led to new discoveries. Contributions from artists yield products suitable for framing and help us all to
appreciate the beauty of the largest planet in our solar system.
