Jaws Main Title Card Resized

FMASU proudly presents The Electric Film Series – A Journey Through the History of Film: Volume I.

The Electric Film Series continues at the historic Electric Theater on Tuesday, July 13th at 6 PM (Doors at 5:30 PM) with an adventurous trip to the 70’s by way of a screening of a blockbuster classic directed by the legendary Steven Spielberg!

“Jaws” (1975)

“Jaws” finds 3 men engaging in a deep-sea adventure in an exhausting effort to capture a massive Great White shark after it wreaks havoc on an unsuspecting beach town called Amityville. Known for its brilliant direction and masterful John Williams score, “Jaws” is also bolstered by a trio of unforgettable performances in the form of Roy Scheider, Robert Shaw, and Richard Dreyfuss. This is a movie that caused beach attendance to famously plummet upon release and it’s a masterwork that holds up to this very day. Additionally, “Jaws” is cited as the film that’s responsible for the term “blockbuster.” Come on out and experience this 70’s cinematic staple the way it was meant to be experienced; On the big screen with a theater full of adoring film fans.

“Jaws” will be preceded by a special guest intro and an insightful post-screening discussion. This month, attendees will be treated to an intro and discussion by industry concept artist John Eaves.

Be sure to arrive at the screening a little early and order a delicious optional food item from Riggatti’s. Meals will be available for consumption immediately following the film during the post-screening discussion or, feel free to take it home with you.
