
September’s theme is “Twice a Classic: Book to Screen”
This week’s film is a bold tale of daring attached to both Rudyard Kipling and John Huston: The Man Who Would be King.
“A robust adventure about two British adventurers who take over primitive Kafiristan as “godlike” rulers, meeting a tragic end through their desire for a native girl. Based on a short story by Rudyard Kipling.”
- Showtime is 6:00 pm and after each screening, all will be invited to go into the downstairs conference room where a discussion of the film will be held. Meals from various local restaurants will be available for purchase at the discussions. Various scholars and critics will also be attending the screenings & discussions.
