April’s theme is “Hollywood in the Desert: Washington County on Film”

This week’s film is a controversial John Wayne movie: The Conqueror.

“Mongol chief Temujin battles against Tartar armies and for the love of the Tartar princess Bortai. Temujin becomes the emperor Genghis Khan.”

• Showtime is 4:30 pm and after each screening, all will be invited to go into the downstairs conference room where a discussion of the film will be held. Meals from various local restaurants will be available for purchase at the discussions. Various scholars and critics will also be attending the screenings & discussions.
