Jaunita Brooks’ Letters and Legacy

Juanita Brooks, a long-time resident of St. George, is a respected and influential historian of Utah, and particularly southern Utah. As an extraordinary letter writer her letters are a window into her life and priorities in her own voice. Mr. Smith, a retired archaeologist with a continuing interest in archaeology and the history of the West, has contributed historical articles to the Utah Historical Quarterly, BYU Studies, Overland Journal, and the Journal of Mormon History.
