2022 Huntsman World Senior Games-OPENING CEREMONIES

The opening ceremonies are truly a celebration of the founding principles of the Huntsman World Senior Games of fostering worldwide peace, health, and friendship. With conflict so prevalent at home and around the world, it becomes more important than ever that we remember that it’s possible to set aside differences and focus on what binds us together rather than what drives us apart. The ceremonies feature a parade of athletes, singing, dancing, Olympic Silver Medalist Bill Schuffenhauer, the cauldron lighting and fireworks.

BRAND NEW THIS YEAR- the pre-ceremonies BBQ Bash taking place in the parking lot just to the east of the stadium. There will be music and fun and the first 1,000 people who show up will eat for free! The BBQ Bash starts at 5:30 PM. Come for the Bash and then line up for the amazing parade of athletes and march into the stadium with all the fanfare.

A free shuttle service to and from select parking lots on the Utah Tech University campus and the Greater Zion stadium is available.

The gates open at 6:00 pm and athletes will want to arrive at least by 6:45 pm to participate in the parade of athletes.
