Saints and Soilders – Film Screening

August 21 - 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Saints and Soldiers Event Title Card With QR Code

In honor of the current 100-Year Celebration of Utah Film and Television, The Film and Media Alliance of Southern Utah and Greater Zion proudly presents a special 20th anniversary screening of “Saints and Soldiers.” Shot in Alpine, UT, this movie–which hit the film festival circuit in 2003 before making its official theatrical bow in August 2004—has garnered quite the statewide fanbase. In addition to emerging as an undeniably moving portrait of war, it also beautifully illustrates the true spirit of independent filmmaking.

Directed and co-produced by the talented Ryan Little, the World War II-set “Saints and Soldiers” finds a group of soldiers valiantly attempting to make it back to allied territory after being separated from U.S. forces during the Malmedy Massacre. Gradually, these men learn quite a bit about one another as they look to survive harsh conditions while trapped behind enemy lines.
