On December 14th, 2024, celebrate 100 years of Utah film and television at The Electric Theater in St. George with a day full of free film events and networking! Presented by the Utah Film Commission and the Film and Media Alliance of Southern Utah, the festivities kick off at noon with FMASU’s “Christmas Edition of the Guerilla Shorts Showcase,” featuring 13 creative short films by Utah-based filmmakers of all ages. These festive six-minute films were made with limited time, a holiday theme, and a surprise prop. Enjoy the screening, vote for your favorite, and meet Santa for photos!

At 3 p.m., stay for the “Focus on the fUTure Film Festival,” showcasing short films by film program students from SUU and UTU. The event concludes with an exciting Utah Filmmaker Networking Social, bringing together storytellers and creatives from across the state.
